LAGC will host Oktoberfest
Los Alamos Golf Course is hosting its Oktoberfest event starting Saturday.
Oktoberfest will include a blind best-ball tournament, along with food service and draft beer and wine sales.
The tournament will start at 9 a.m. Food and beverage service starts at 1 p.m.
The final day to register is Thursday. For more information, call LAGC at 662-8139.
Scott coaching flag football for youth
The Family YMCA of Los Alamos is hosting flag football clinics starting today.
The flag football clinics will be taught by former Los Alamos High School head coach Bob Scott. They are scheduled for 2-4 p.m. Sunday afternoons through Oct. 27.
The clinics, which are open to boys and girls ages 8-12, will include lessons on punting, kicking, passing and receiving.
Price for participation is $20 for YMCA members, $30 for nonmembers.
