New lacrosse website launched

A website for high school-level lacrosse teams around the state has started up.
NewMexicoLacrosse.com posts information pertinent to prep lacrosse. Lacrosse, which is played with baskets attached to long handles carried by players, has elements of both football and soccer. It is a relatively new sport to New Mexico high schools — as of yet, it is not a New Mexico Activities Association-sanctioned sport.
Los Alamos is one of six schools in the state to feature a boys lacrosse team. The Hilltopper team only has a loose affiliation with the school and is not a school-sanctioned sport.
The Hilltopper team has its own website as well, laylax.com.
