Splash N Dash events are returning
The Splash N Dash series, which is hosted by Triatomics Multisport Club, will return June 26.
The series is designed for those interested in training for the Los Alamos Triathlon, which is scheduled for Aug. 17.
Participants can choose either a 400-yard swim and 5K run or 200-yard swim and 3K run. All Splash N Dash events start at the Larry R. Walkup Aquatic Center.
Registration for each Splash N Dash is done about 30 minutes prior to the start at the aquatic center. There is no fee for participation but registration will be limited to the first 75 entrants.

County hosting High Mountain Mudfest
The Los Alamos County Recreation Division will host its ninth annual High Mountain Mudfest volleyball tournament July 20 on North Mesa.
The High Mountain Mudfest consists of adult co-ed teams playing volleyball in pits of mud.
Registration is underway. Participating teams must have between 6-12 players 18 years of age or older. All teams must have at least four women on the roster.
Price for participation is $130. Registration deadline is July 18.

Piñon Park Pool offers water aerobics
A water aerobics course is being offered at Piñon Park Pool in White Rock.
The course is scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30-8:25 a.m.
Price for participation is $6.50 for pool members and $7 for non-members.

Firecracker Fun Run is July 4
Registration is open for the Family YMCA of Los Alamos’ Firecracker Fun Run.
The run is set for 8 a.m. July 4. The race begins at the YMCA’s facility at 1450 Iris Street.
Top male and female runners will win prizes. All entrants are eligible for door prizes.
Price for participation is $25, $15 for YMCA members and $10 for entrants age 13 and under.
