Tour De LA returning Sunday
The 2014 Tour De Los Alamos is scheduled for Sunday.
The Tour De Los Alamos features a 27-mile loop going from the Back Gate down N.M. 4 to White Rock and back up to Los Alamos via the Truck Route.
Registration is underway online and in-person registration can be done at Los Alamos National Bank’s lobby the evening before the race. Registration may also be done at the race’s start between 6:30-7:30 a.m. in downtown Los Alamos.
Pre-event registration is $25, while day-of registration is $45. Online registration can be done at bikereg.com.

Basketball camps will be at Chamisa School
Physical education teacher Justin Black will host two upcoming basketball camps for youth, the first one of which will start June 16.
The basketball camps are for players in grades 3-8, split up by grade level.
The schedule for both camps are 1-2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday for grades 6-8, 3-4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday for grade 3-5. High skill level players can sign up for a separate session from 5-6:30 p.m. those days as well.
The second session is scheduled to start June 23.
Price for participation is $45 per session. All money will go to benefit the Chamisa PE program. For more information, email Black at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Soccer camps will be in Los Alamos, White Rock
The second session of the Los Alamos Hilltopper boys soccer program is scheduled for June 16-20 in White Rock.
The camp is for boys and girls ages 3-9. Price for participation is $35.

Track at Sullivan Field to close
The Sullivan Field track will be closed starting Thursday, Los Alamos High School announced.
The MONDO track surface will be cleaned and repaired. No field or track users will be allowed onto Sullivan Field during the closure. The closure is expected to continue through June 20.
