Soccer camps set for early June

The Los Alamos Hilltopper boys soccer program is hosting a camp for boys and girls ages 3-9.
The camp has two sessions. The first is set for June 9-13 at Urban Park and the second is June 16-20 at Rover Park.
Price for participation is $35 for one session or $50 for both sessions. Registration deadline for the first session is June 2.

Track to close for maintenance

The Sullivan Field track will be closed from June 5-20, Los Alamos High School announced Friday.
The MONDO track surface will be cleaned and repaired during that time, according to a press release from LAHS.
No field or track users will be allowed onto Sullivan Field during the closure. For more information, call the LAHS athletic office at 663-2531.

Youth hoops camp registration is open

The Jr. ’Topper Summer Basketball Camp is scheduled for several days in the first part of June at the gymnasiums at Los Alamos High School.
Mini ’Toppers (in grades K-2) will be at the school’s Auxiliary Gymnasium from 10-11:15 a.m., while the Mid ’Toppers (grades 3-6) will be in Griffith Gymnasium from 10 a.m.-noon.
Camp dates are scheduled for June 3, 4, 5, 9 and 10.
Price for registration is $75 per player. Registrations can be made at latoppers.org. Walk-in registrations will also be accepted.

Athletic meeting for incoming ninth graders is Tuesdsay night at LAHS

Los Alamos High School will host Athletic Night Tuesday at the Duane Smith Auditorium.
Athletic Night is for incoming freshmen interested in participating in high school sports for the 2014-15 academic year or for incoming eighth graders interested in trying out for high school programs.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m. Areas of discussion will include summer workout information for fall sports.
