WRLL sign-up starting this week

A pair of registration sessions for the upcoming season of White Rock Little League baseball and softball is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.
WRLL registration will be at Time Out Pizza in White Rock. The sessions are scheduled from 6:30-8 p.m. Additional registration sessions will be Jan. 22 and Jan. 23, also at Time Out Pizza.
All boys and girls between the ages of 4-18 (on April 30 for baseball and Dec. 31, 2012 for softball) are eligible to play.

Workshop for prospective college athletes set

Los Alamos High School athletic director Vicki Nelms will host a workshop for athletes interested in playing sports at the collegiate level.
The workshop is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at the LAHS speech theater. Any student and parents of students in grades 8-12 is invited to attend.
Topics covered will include NCAA and NAIA high school course requirements, clearinghouse information, SAT and ACT testing and recruiting information.
