TAOS — The White Rock Little League All-Star Majors couldn’t survive some big hits and some fielding errors early Tuesday morning.
Playing Albuquerque Eastdale in the state championship semifinals Tuesday morning, White Rock struggled early, allowing seven runs in each of the first two innings. Eastdale never looked back, taking Tuesday’s ballgame 14-2 in 3-1/2 innings.
The loss dropped White Rock into the loser’s bracket of the tournament. It will play at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kit Carson Park. Eastdale advances to Thursday’s final round.
White Rock ace Hannah Mojica started the contest. She lasted two innings, giving up just one earned run.
White Rock could still meet up with Eastdale again in the final, but would have to win Wednesday’s ballgame.
