Los Alamos Hilltopper soccer players took three of the top four individual honors in District 2AAAA this season.
Hilltoppers Andy Thoma and Amy Neal were named the Offensive Players of the Year in district soccer for the 2010 season, as announced by the district Tuesday.
Meanwhile, 2009 District Player of the Year, Graham Delano, once again was given one of the district’s top honors, taking Defensive Player of the Year.
Not surprisingly, Los Alamos dominated the selections in this year’s first team on both the boys and girls sides. Los Alamos placed five girls and eight boys on the All-District first teams.
Also this season, Los Alamos girls’ head coach Jiri Kubicek was named the 2AAAA Coach of the Year.
Thoma, Los Alamos’ most productive offensive player in 2010, finished the season ranked seventh in total points in Class AAAA (45). Thoma notched 16 goals and 13 assists to lead the Hilltoppers.
Neal, on the girls side, also finished with 45 total points, putting up identical goal and assist numbers as Thoma.
Both Hilltopper teams earned district titles this season, going a perfect 6-0 in 2AAAA play.
