Veteran girls soccer head coach at Los Alamos, Jiri Kubicek, was named the top small-school coach in the state for the 2010 season by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Mondo.
Los Alamos High School’s athletic department made the announcement Wednesday.
Kubicek, who is tied with girls tennis coach Bruce Cottrell as the longest-tenured head coach at the school, led Los Alamos to a runner-up finish at the Class 4A state tournament and a fifth consecutive District 2AAAA championship in 2010.
