Leanne Smith and Latah were the top finishers in the 2013 Los Alamos Dog Jog.
The Dog Jog is a fundraiser for the Los Alamos Friends of the Shelter. Approximately 250 humans and 250 dogs took part in this year’s event, held in the Chamisa Elementary School area in White Rock.
The event consisted of a 5K competitive run and a 2-mile non-competitive run/walk.
Smith won the contested race with a time of 21 minutes, 22 seconds, topping runner-up Andrew Sutton by 7 seconds.
