Officially, opponents to the location of the proposed skate park have until Monday to file an appeal of the Planning and Zoning Commission’s site approval.
Whatever happens these next three days, two appeals have already been filed.
A spokesperson for the planning department said that two appeals have been filed as of Thursday, one from Morrie Pongratz, and one from Jack and Colleen Hanlon.
The spokesperson said that the department must now prepare documents for the appeal hearing before council, which includes all papers, verbatim transcripts of all hearings and exhibits.
And these documents must be given to the appellants for review and correctness before the final paperwork is given to council.
Then, council will set a hearing date. And it seems the earliest that hearing could take place would be sometime in July.
