Frieda Schiller, 85, a resident of Los Alamos, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2008, following a lengthy illness. Frieda lived a life of dignity and strength; she was an active member in her community and a friend to all. A special thank you to all her friends and associates at the Betty Erhart Senior Center in Los Alamos - your warmth and friendship meant so much to her.
The family would also like to thank the administration and entire staff at the Espaola Valley Nursing Home for their incredible caring and kindness given to our Mother, Grandmother, and friend during her final days. She left us all with a wonderful life’s-legacy of patience, kindness, grace, courage and forgiveness - taught by example simply by the way she lived her life. We will miss her dearly.
Frieda was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Lena Tanenbaum; husbands Jerome Glick and Solomon Schiller; sisters Bernice Tanenbaum, Ida Bender, Myrtle Besser, and brother Bernard Tanenbaum.
She is survived by her daughter Kara Chesser and husband Jim of Climax Springs, Missouri; son Stephen Glick and wife Joan of Los Alamos; loving grandchildren Jerry Chesser and wife Kirsten of Lincoln, Nebraska, Lisa Nielsen and husband Joel of West Jordan, Utah, and Gina Glick of Los Alamos.
