Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage, the center that helped the Santa Fe Demon girls basketball team secure its first state title since the 1980s, was named first-team All-State by the New Mexico High School Coaches Association.
The NMHSCA selections are done by a vote from coaches across the state.
Lozada-Cabbage’s teammates, Kayla Herrera and Jackie Martinez, were named to the second team.
Another player out of District 2-4A, Ashlynn Trujillo, made the second team as well.
No players from Los Alamos were named to either the boys or girls All-State teams this season.
Santa Fe topped Los Lunas for the 4A girls basketball title this year. Los Lunas’ Teige Zeller, was also a first team All-State selection.
