The Los Alamos Hilltopper football team fell into a big hole late in the second quarter and early in the third quarter Friday night and never climbed its way out.
Los Alamos hosted Santa Fe Friday night in a game that would’ve all but clinched the District 2-4A title for the Hilltoppers. Instead, the Santa Fe dynamic duo of Jordan Booth-Homer and Anthony Abeyta came up huge, leading the Demons to a 62-30 rout at Sullivan Field.
The Demons now control their own destiny in the district championship race while the Hilltoppers must hope for an upset by Bernalillo over Santa Fe in two weeks.
More on Friday’s game will be in Sunday’s Los Alamos Monitor.
