Joan Williams was the top predictor at the Atomic City Roadrunners’ pace race this week.
The pace race was held Tuesday at American Spring Road.
Williams finished with an error of just 12 seconds on the 1-mile course. Rainy, wet conditions made predictions tough Tuesday with only one other runner, Roy Cope, finishing with a prediction error of less than 72 seconds.
Cope, meanwhile, was the fastest finisher on the 1-mile course with his time of 12:20, while Inez Ross was the top female finisher, crossing in 16:54.
On the 3-mile course Tuesday, Jamie Jablin was the top finisher (21:04), while Laura McClellan was the top female finisher (26:11).
The next pace race will be held Tuesday in White Rock.
The 6 p.m. race is scheduled to start at Piñon Park.
