Duane Marr had a perfect prediction at this week’s pace race.
Marr correctly called his finishing time on the 1-mile course of 16 minutes, 58 seconds to win Tuesday’s pace race, sponsored by the Atomic City Roadrunners.
The race was held at West Road starting near the Los Alamos County Ice Rink.
Meanwhile, Duane Marr’s wife, Jackie was the top female predictor on the short course Tuesday.
Tomas Klimczuk was the first finisher on the 1-mile course, picking up a time of 9:15, followed by Theodore Peterson, who finished in 10:57. Kimberly Peterson was the fastest female finisher on the short course with a time of 10:57.
On the 3-mile course, Ted Romero was the fastest finisher once again, completing the course in 21:51. Kristine Coblentz finished in 30:25, first among female competitors.
In all, 28 runners and walkers participated Tuesday.
The next pace race will be held Tuesday at S-Site. It will start at 6 p.m.
