Tomasz Klimczuk earned a spotless prediction at Tuesday’s Atomic City Roadrunners’ pace race.

This week’s pace race started at the Guaje Pines Cemetery.

Klimczuk finished in 8:08, his exact predicted finish time, running on the 1-mile course Tuesday night, outforecasting Ted Romero (14-second error) and AJ Markela (54-second error), both of whom were running on the 3-mile course.

The fastest finisher on this week’s 3-mile course was Michael Jablin, whose time of 24:25 was one second better than twin brother Jamie’s. It was the second straight week the two finished within a second of each other — Jamie won the July 28 race — while the two tied for the most ground covered a week before that in one hour.

Dean Rees finished just 31 seconds behind Michael Jablin on the long course. Karen Thorn was the top female finisher on the 3-mile course (49:49).

On the short course, Daniel Romero won with a time of 7:08. Romero was followed by Klimczuk and Ben Rees (9:24).

Cuihuan Wang was the fastest female finisher in the 1-mile contest (10:40), holding off Rachel Wallstrom (10:47).

The next pace race will start at Los Alamos Middle School. That race is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday.
