Gina Marie Stroud was recently honored as Rotary Student of the Month for November.  Stroud is the daughter of Mary Ann and Phillip Stroud and sister of David, Sophia and Katie. The Rotary Club of Los Alamos selects one student from the current Los Alamos High School graduating class to honor each month of the school year.  Students are selected on the basis of their academics, extracurricular activities and their service to the community.

Stroud serves as a lawyer for Teen Court, a program that provides alternative sentencing of first or second time juvenile offenders. Stroud works with students and their families as a member of the Truancy Panel, serves as a peer counselor in Natural Helpers and participates in the Los Alamos Youth Leadership Program. She said much of this activity is motivated by her concern with rising levels of drugs and alcohol abuse among youth in Los Alamos.

Stroud played on the LAHS girls varsity soccer team, which finished second in the 4AAAA state championship. She also plays varsity tennis. Stroud is a member of National Honor Society and maintains a 4.0  plus grade- point average.

Stroud is an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, serving as an usher and alter server, and helping in youth education. She was fortunate to have an opportunity to travel to Honduras and share in the lives of children at Our Little Brothers and Sisters Orphanage. She also participated in several HEART work camps, serving those in need in Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado.

Stroud is a member of the Speech and Debate team, and gives special thanks to Margo Batha, her English teacher and debate coach at LAHS.
