Only a handful of hardcore runners made it to this week’s Pace Race.
The Pace Race was Tuesday and was held at the sewage plant road in Lower Bayo Canyon. For the race, only 10 souls braved the snowy, wet conditions.
The top predictor this week was Ted Romero, who finished with an adjusted error of 42 seconds on the 3-mile course. Romero doubled-up his win, as he was also the top finisher on the long course, crossing n 20:58.
Linda Vance was the fastest finisher on the 1-mile course this week, coming in at 9:53. Vance was the second-best predictor with an error of 60 seconds. Tom Sandford was the fastest male finisher on the 1-mile course, coming in at 11:05.
The next Pace Race will be Tuesday at the Cañada del Buey trail in White Rock starting near the Mountain Meadows Playlot. Race time is 6 p.m.
