Robert K. Fisher, 87, a long time resident of Los Alamos, passed away April 19 in Denver, Colo.
Bob and his wife Maggie, along with their three children, moved to Los Alamos in 1951. He brought to a close a 23-year career with the LAPD when he retired as the chief of police in 1984. Bob also served on the City Council and remained an active member of the community until moving to Denver in 2009.
Bob was a graduate of the FBI National Academy and a member of the National Rifle Association. He was an avid pistol shooter — winning numerous awards throughout his career.
Bob is survived by his daughter Lindi LaNoue of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren: Jason and Ann Brelo and Sean LaNoue; and one great-granddaughter Hailey Brelo. He is preceeded in death by his wife Maggie, son Ken and daughter Kay Brelo.
