GLASCOCK – Robert Breckenridge “Breck” Glascock passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008, after a lengthy illness. Breck was born in Gallup, N.M., in 1932, the son of Henry and Virginia Glascock. He graduated from Gallup High School in 1951, and earned a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico in 1957, whereupon he began his 35-year career with Los Alamos National Laboratory. Breck was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, and enjoyed many hobbies, including fly-fishing and downhill skiing. He also shared his time and computer knowledge with various organizations in town.
Breck is survived by his four children: Joli Garcia (and her husband, Gary, and their daughter, Reese) of Parker, Colo.; Chris Glascock (and his wife, Mary, and their daughter, Rachel) of Broomfield, Colo.; Laura Glascock of Los Alamos; and Donald Glascock (and his wife, Stephanie, and their sons, Ryan and Joel) of Rochester, Minn. Breck is also survived by his sister, Gayla Crossman (and her husband, Harlan, and their two daughters, Monica and Avery). Breck also leaves behind his close friend, Carol Pyburn, of Los Alamos, and many other friends in Los Alamos and in the Pagosa Springs, Colo., area.
