BRANCH – Richard Octaviano “Birdie” Branch, 79, a resident of Los Alamos, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008, due to natural cause. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Branch, June 17, 2005; brother, Larry Branch; and parents, Richard and Grace Branch. Richard was a computer operator for 35 years, and loved to go fishing, work in the yard and he also loved to read.
He is survived by his children: Edward Branch and wife Tammy of Albuquerque, Barbara Cates and husband Jerry of Farmington, Don Branch and wife Myra of Los Alamos, and Stephen Branch and wife Kimberly of Carver, Mass.; brothers and sisters, Louis Pacheco of Ft. Pierce (Fla.), Eva Ortega and husband Ambrosio of Albuquerque, Benjamin Branch of Chama, Joseph Branch and wife Barbara of Russelville (Ark.), Mike Branch of Mora, Gerry Branch of San Francisco (Calif.), and James Branch and wife Darlene of Taos; grandchildren: Josh Branch; Danny Engler; Shane, Heath and Celina Cates; Amanda, and Tim, Kody and Winter Branch; great-great grandchild Tristan Engler; and special friends and relatives, Robert and Lillian Apodaca, Jim and Marcia Hutton, Willie Lovato, Ray Davenport, and Fred and Porfie Montoya.
