Richard M. Colgate

Richard M. Colgate, age 83, of Los Alamos, N.M., formerly of South Strafford, Vt., passed away peacefully at his home in Los Alamos on Oct. 26, 2007.

Richard was born in New York City, N.Y. He attended Los Alamos Ranch School and is a member of the Yale University Class of 1945. He served in the Navy in WWII in the Pacific, Lieutenant JG. He is survived by his brother, Sterling Colgate and sister-in-law, Rosie Colgate of Los Alamos, N.M.; sister, Anne Sutton of Honolulu, H.I.; daughters: Jessie Colgate of Washington, D.C.; Margaret Colgate of Asheville, N.C.; Cara Colgate of Medford, Mass.; Pam Colgate and husband George Lietner; grandson, Nick Lietner; and granddaughter Julia Lietner all of Santa Fe, N.M.

Arrangements are under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Service, 1399 Luisa St., Santa Fe, NM, 87505 984-8600.
