Los Alamos County is beginning the next stage in developing an Economic Vitality Strategic Plan.

Copies of the Draft Economic Vitality Strategic Plan (EVSP) are available for public access and review at the Mesa Public Library, the White Rock Library, the 3-1-1 Customer Care Center, the County Administrative Offices and the Chamber of Commerce. An electronic copy of the EVSP, as well as all information and updates pertaining to the EVSP, will be posted on the County Web site at www.losalamosnm.us/ecodev.

The public is encouraged to review and comment on the plan.

Two public meetings will be held during February in which the public can ask questions and submit comments on the EVSP. The first meeting will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. Feb. 4 at Fuller Lodge. The second will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. Feb. 18 at the White Rock Fire Station.

At both meetings, County Administrator Tony Mortillaro and

Executive Director for the Commerce and Development Corporation Kevin Holsapple will present an overview of the plan and members of the EVSP Committee who authored the plan will be available to address questions and receive comments.

The deadline to submit comments is Feb 26.  Following the end of the comment period, the Draft EVSP and all public comments received will be presented to Council at a meeting date to be announced in the near future. For more information, please contact Kelly Stewart at Kelly.stewart@lacnm.us or 662-8087.
