The team of Martin Pieck and Jason Pieck finished at the top of the long course standings in last week’s Splash and Dash event.
Pieck/Pieck finished nearly six minutes ahead of the team of Alana Goodwin/Nikol Strother for the top spot at the Splash and Dash July 9.
The Splash and Dash is a training program primarily for those interested in competing in the Los Alamos Triathlon, which is scheduled for Aug. 16.
Only two Splash and Dash events are remaining before the triathlon. Those are scheduled for July 23 and Aug. 6.
Training evens consist of two courses for adults, the longer one which is a 400-yard swim followed by a 5-kilometer run, or the shorter course which features a 200-yard swim followed by a 3-kilometer run. There is also a youth course.
The top individual finisher on the long course was Myles Fitzgerald, who finished in 28 minutes, 30 seconds, which was 18 seconds better than Chris Ussery.
On the short course, Sara Shiina was the top finisher, coming in at 17:37. Amy Littleton finished in 22:24.
Here are the results from the July 9 Splash and Dash (swim time, run time, total time):
