One for storage — container needs lids. Corrected. Two moderate-risk violations for contaminated equipment — walls need cleaning, food items on them; cutting boards need to be replaced, not smooth. Have too many deep grooves, difficult to clean. Two low-risk violations, one for floors/walls/ceilings — flooring in kitchen area needs repair. One for ventilation/lighting — light fixture must have covering.

Notes: Bare wood surfaces around hand sink and shelves. Openings around plumbing in ceiling and wall and screw holes. Turn covering on some parts of wall, removed. Small refrigerator and freezer non-NSF, two refrigerators NSF, no PHF in non-NSF units.

Restaurant Salvadoreno, 2900 Cerrillos Road
Date inspected: Aug. 8
Violations: Two high-risk violations, one for inadequate cooking/cooling — rice just cooked was placed directly to the walk-in cooler. Corrected. Cooling process was taught to facility. One for poor personal hygiene — paper towels were not available for the hand sink towel dispenser. Corrected. Two moderate-risk violations, one for improper holding — one of the under counter refrigeration units did not have a thermometer. The stem thermometer in facility is not working. Provide at least two. One for contaminated equipment — hand sink, three-compartment sink surfaces are filthy. Clean. Four low-risk violations, one for administration — food establishment permit posted has expired. One for floors/walls/ceilings — the floor tiles in the men’s restroom are cracked and stained. Two for ventilation/lighting — the light bulb in walk-in cooler is not shielded; the entire exhaust hood area and filters are extremely filthy and greasy.
