Ice pooling on the floor in walk-in freezer needs to be removed and cleaned. One moderate risk violation. Door and door handles to cooler units have food build and need to be cleaned. One low-risk violation for employees need to have a hair restraints.

Violations: Five high-risk violations. Handwashing station had no paper towels. Ice scoops need to be in dishwashable containers. Ice in freezer is dripping into food containers. Dishwasher is not working at proper temperature. All food must have date of preparation and has to be used within 24 hours of that date. All containers must properly labeled. Two moderate risk violations. Wood crates and rusted freezer needs to be made smooth and nonabsorbent. Microwave are not ANSI or NSF approved.

Date inspected: April 10
Violations: Two moderate risk violations. Back door screen is torn. Chlorine strips not available for dish water. Ice scoops were place in ice machine surface, which was dirty. Bulk food containers need to be labeled. One low-risk violation for ceiling, wall and some counter space being dusty and worn.

Kai Sushi and Dining, 720 St. Michael’s Drive
Date inspected: April 9
Violations: One moderate risk violation. Kitchen equipment and utensils are filthy. The space between the wall and three compartment sink has a large gap and wall is dirty. Ceiling in the back kitchen area is old, rusted and open in some areas. The ceiling must be repaired within 90 days.

Eldorado
LaPlancha de Eldorado, 7 Caliente Road
Date inspected: April 4
Violations: Five high-risk violations. All food needs to have a date of preparation and be used within seven days. Canned food had mold and business needs to have Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point certification and training — HACCP for canning food. Cold prep unit lid needs to be closed. Improper hot and cold temperature storage. Raw meat stored with ready to eat food in walk in cooler. Cutting boards are burnt. Paint was found stored with food equipment.
Four moderate risk violations. Food build up found on equipment and needs to be cleaned. Wood utensils have food build up and need to be replaced. Microwaves need to be replaced and are not approved by the American National Standards Institute — ANSI or the NSF, which provides HACCP certification. Food equipment needs to be moved and cleaned more frequently. Two low-risk violations. Food boxes stored on the floor. Fans and vents have mold and dust and need to be cleaned.
