Violations: Three high-risk violations, two for improper holding — warmer, pork at 120 degrees. Corrected. Food particles/product on display doors and inside needs to be cleaned. One for contaminated equipment — meat product on band saw; meat product in grinder; meat product on slicer. Three moderate-risk violations, one for improper holding — need thermometers inside all refrigerators. One for animals/vermin/openings — restroom needs self-closing device. One for administration — invalid permit posted, expired on June 30, 2012.

Aspen Community School kindergarten facility, 4501 La Madera
Date inspected: Feb. 4
Violations: One high-risk violation for contaminated equipment — one employee failed to immerse pan for required one minute in sanitizer. Dipped for two seconds and put to air dry. Day care center not sanitizing thermometer before and after use. No sanitizer available for use in separate facility. Three moderate-risk violations, one for contaminated equipment — serving tables not sanitized at kindergarten. Two violations for plumbing/waste disposal — trash bins not closed. Trash around trash bins. Four low-risk violations, one for animals/vermin/openings — drain sink in pre-K has pipe openings exposed. One for floors/walls/ceilings — ceiling tile needs to be reinspected. One for storage — storing thermometers in sanitizer solution. One for ventilation/lighting — inadequate lighting in cooler, freezer and vegetable refrigerator.

Bamboo Asian Cuisine, 2400 Cerrillos Road
Date inspected: Jan. 28, complaint
Violations: One moderate-risk violation for contaminated equipment — not testing dishwasher chlorine sanitizer at adequate frequency. Two low-risk violations, one for floors/walls/ceilings — floors in corners and beneath tables have particle build-up, accumulation. One for ventilation/lighting — inadequate light, 30/125 required in prep, storage and ware wash areas. Facility must clean all items and correct the ventilation/lighting issue by Feb. 13, as a follow-up inspection. Facility to develop a cleaning and maintenance schedule.

Violations: Two high-risk violations for improper holding — grated cheese, lettuce, cilantro and onions at 44 degrees, tomatoes at 37 degrees, discarded. Corrected. Drain lines need proper air gap on new Coke machine. Four moderate-risk violations, two for improper holding — freezer units lacked thermometer. Refrigeration unit lacked thermometer. Two for contaminated equipment — frost build-up in freezer, food spills in refrigerator. Non-food contact surfaces (refrigerator door handles) have food build-up. One low-risk violation for storage — shelf in freezer less than six-inches above ground.

Buz Baked Homemade Goodies, 10 Altura Vista
Date inspected: Feb. 1
Violations: One high-risk violation for improper holding — the reach-in cold holding temperature was not adequate. Corrected. Thermostat turned up, came down to 41 degrees.
Notes: Kitchen looks very clean. Sanitizing solution was good at 200 ppm. Test strips were available. No new products have been added.

Violations: Two high-risk violations, one for improper holding — hamburger patties hot-holding at 130-degrees/140 degrees minimum requirement. Corrected. One for contaminated equipment — not testing dishwasher sanitizing hot water. Corrected. Three moderate-risk violations, one for contaminated equipment — buffet sneeze guard has a crack in plastic cover. One for poor personal hygiene — hand sink blocked by cardboard box, soap dispenser mounted too high, about 50-inches above floor, towel dispensers in front of faucet. One for other — one container of croutons put out for service to consumer unprotected. Corrected. One low-risk violation for floors/walls/ceilings — walls not smooth in prep area.
Notes: Multiple facility users, all must wear facility in a compliant manner. Hold them to a “terms of use” agreement. Unapproved cleaning chemical found (409), food items stored on floor. Walls and ceiling need painting at minimum, but wall must be smooth. Floors have some build-up in corners and along edges. Use foaming degreaser. Recommend walls behind stove and fryer be stainless steel lined around hood. All other areas may be covered in FRP or like product.
