The following restaurant inspection reports were provided by the New Mexico Environment Department.

Española

Dixon Co-op Kitchen-Deli, 215 Hwy. 75
Date inspected: Jan. 16, pre-opening
Violations: None
Notes: Pre-opening inspections, Dixon Co-op Kitchen-Deli propose to prepare deli-type foods, sandwiches and salads. Floor-tile, walls F.R.P., ceiling surface with paint lighting covered with diffusers. Community water will be used. Door needs screen that will seal better to keep insects/vermin out. Septic system permitted, inspected, approved. Plumbed for hand wash sink, three-compartment sink, veggie/food sink. Not installed yet, also may have auto dishwasher, hot water-type stainless steel table present. Bathroom next door, will have toilet, lavatory, soap/towels. Facility will not do any cooking, only warming of foods and cold prep. Future expansion possible, may install hood/vent system for store/range addition. Advise NMED prior to installing. Insure all equipment is ANSI/commercial-type.

Date inspected: Jan. 17
Violations: One high-risk violation for poor personal hygiene — hand wash sink leaks, needs repair. Issued major notice of violation. Three-compartment sink OK, air gap.
Note: Staff advised inspector that dispenser for sanitizer is broken. Need to repair, replace. Facility does not cut/slice meat, only re-wrap as needed.

Violations: Two low-risk violations for floors/walls/ceilings — floor tiles broken in facility need repair, some broken. Edging/coring tiles in facility need repair, some broken or missing. Ceiling tiles need repair/replacement.

Santa Fe

Comfort Inn Santa Fe, 4312 Cerrillos Road
Date inspected: Jan. 16
Violations: One moderate-risk violation for improper holding — thermometers were not available for the refrigeration units. One low-risk violation for administration — food establishment permit posted has expired since October 2012. Payment must be received within three working days in the NMED office. Amount due is $225. Must transfer ownership within 10 days. New ownership application in process.

Date inspected: Jan. 14
Violations: Two moderate-risk violations, one for improper holding — no thermometer available inside freezer. One for storage — unlabeled containers with white powder substance in the kitchen.

Mucho Gusto
Date inspected: Jan. 16
Violations: One moderate-risk violation for contaminated equipment — cutting board was not properly cleaned and sanitized after use. Corrected.

Panda Express, 3522 Zafarano Dr.
Date inspected: Jan. 14
Violations: Three moderate-risk violations, one for improper holding — inaccurate thermometer inside refrigerator; two for contaminated equipment — food scales unsanitary condition and improper three-step dishwashing process.

Round House, State Capitol downstairs
Date inspected: Jan. 16
Violations: One high-risk violation for improper holding — improper hot holding temperature, roasted pepper and cheese soup held at 60 degrees. Correction. One low-risk violation for storage — food stored on the floor in the walk-in cooler.

San Marcos Café, 3877 N.M. 14
Date inspected: Jan. 15
Violations: One high-risk violation for improper holding — improper holding temperature of potentially hazardous food. Sliced tomatoes at 51 degrees. Corrected. One low-risk violation for floors/walls/ceilings — ceiling dirty in the kitchen. Walls behind three-compartment sink broken. Need repair.
