Dan Rees had the top prediction in this week’s Pace Race.
The Pace Race, a weekly event hosted by the Atomic City Roadrunners, was Tuesday night. It started at Barranca Mesa Elementary School and ventured into Bayo Canyon.
Rees, running on the 3-mile course, was off by just four seconds from his predicted finish time Tuesday. He nipped 1-mile course runner Paul Elkins, who had a six-second adjusted error.
Also coming close were Ted Romero (24 seconds off) and Duane Marr and Joaquin Gutierrez (30 seconds off).
On the 1-mile course, Jacob Thompson had the fastest finish with his time of 7 minutes, 28 seconds. Patricia Burnside finished in 7:56.
On the longer course, Romero was again the fastest finisher, crossing in 20:58.
The next Pace Race is Tuesday night starting at the roundabout at Diamond Drive and San Ildefonso Road. Race time is 6 p.m.
