Do you want to know about plans for the Skate Park in Los Alamos? If so, come to an information meeting to be held from 4-5 p.m. Wednesday in the Namb Room in Fuller Lodge.
The meeting will precede the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, which will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Community Building.
“This meeting is part of the county’s efforts to get as much information out as we can regarding the skate park proposed to be built in front of the Mesa Public Library,” said Stephani Johnson, community director for the county.
This meeting will be an opportunity for individuals who have missed prior meetings to be caught up-to-date, as well as to provide others who are more familiar with the project more information. Dick McIntyre, the project manager, and Greg Miller, consultant, will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.
The county council has already approved 60-percent design plans for the skate park. After the planning and zoning commission meeting Wednesday, the county council will consider 90 percent design plans at its May 20 meeting. In recent weeks, the staff has held a design meeting with the public. The purpose of the meeting was not only to hear people’s concerns, but to get input on what people wanted to see as part of the skate park.
The meeting was well attended and consultants took back several ideas to incorporate into their design.
During the meeting Wednesday, the public will be able to review the most up-to-date design and ask questions of the project team.
