Public invited to meet principal candidates

School staff and community are invited to meet the finalists for Los Alamos High School principal at a special community event set for 6:30 p.m. next Monday night.

Two finalists will share their background information and answer a set of pre-written questions.

The two finalists are Deborah Belew-Nyquist from Silverdale, Washington and Mike Johnson from Los Alamos.

On Monday, school administrators will hold a coin flip to see which candidate meets the public in a 45 minute question and answer session set for 6:30 PM in the Speech Theater.

The second finalist will follow with the same question and answer

format at 7:30 PM.

Those in attendance will be invited to share their impressions by submitting written responses at the conclusion of the two interviews.

The community interviews will conclude a long day of interviews by the two finalists.

Earlier on Monday, the two candidates will be interviewed by teachers/parents, students, and the Superintendent.

At the end of the school day on Monday, the LAHS leadership students, under the direction of Joanne Ploeger, will host a reception in the high school foyer for the two finalists. The public is invited to this afterschool event.
