10 a.m. – Sombrillo Nursing Home reported criminal damage to its generator equipment at 1011 Sombrillo Court. The estimated damage is less than $1,000.
3:20 p.m. – A 21-year-old Los Alamos woman reported she was assaulted on the UNM-LA campus at 4000 University Dr. Her report could not be verified.
8:45 p.m. – Elias Lovato, 38, of Los Alamos was arrested and charged with shoplifting for allegedly stealing a pound of jelly beans from Smith’s food and Drugs at 535 Central Ave. The estimated loss is $5.99.
1:21 a.m. – John W. Chamberlain, 41, of Los Alamos was arrested and charged with DWI and child abuse stemming from an initial report of an attempted suicide at a Los Alamos residence. A police investigation revealed there was no suicide attempt and that the reporting party, Chamberlain, appeared intoxicated and had one small child in his vehicle and had left another one home alone.
3:33 p.m. – A 28-year-old Hernandez woman reported her vehicle keyed while parked at TA-3 near the Otowi Building at Los Alamos National Bank. The estimated damage is less than $1,000.
12:17 p.m. – A 32-year-old Los Alamos woman reported someone stole change and other small items from her locker at Fire Station #1 on West Jemez Road. The estimated loss is $10.
1:42 a.m. – A 37-year-old Los Alamos woman reported criminal damage to her property. The estimated loss is less than $1,000.
2:30 a.m. – Two 17-year old Los Alamos boys were charged with criminal damage to property at 2486 36th St., based on the investigation of a tire-slashing incident witnessed by another individual. The boys were referred to the juvenile probation officer. The estimated damage is less than $1,000.
