Police Beat items are compiled from public information contained in the Los Alamos Police Department Records. Charges or citations listed in Police Beat do not imply innocence or guilt. The Los Alamos Police Department uses the term “arrest” to define anyone who has been physically arrested, served a court summons, or issued a citation.
7:30 a.m.— Gary Brown, 44, was arrested for committing a larceny over $250 and under $500. According to police he’s accused of stealing a computer from the Comfort Inn, 2500 Trinity Drive. He is due to appear in magistrate court through a criminal summons.
1:44 a.m. – Joseph Garcia, 44, of Fairview, was arrested on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was arrested on Airport Road after police spotted him swerving in and out of his lane.
12:57 a.m. – Police turned in a roaming dog on 226 East Road. to the animal shelter.
4:18 p.m. – Police were called on a public disturbance call to the 3900 block of Sycamore Street. There they arrested Tessa Lopez, 18, and charged her with battery against a household member female, 55.
11:22 p.m. — Ernest Olguin, 31, of Espanola, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for a traffic citation.
5:11 a.m. — A 20-year-old male reported that the windshield and fog light were damaged on his vehicle, which was parked in the 100 block of Agate Street.
9:16 a.m. — Cardiel Demetrio, 46, of Los Alamos was arrested for driving with a revoked or suspended license on East Drive. He was originally stopped for failing to stop for a stop sign.
10:02 a.m. – An 81-year-old female reported that a package, delivered by UPS, was stolen off her doorstep in the 800 block of Scott Way.
10:02 p.m. — Police responded to a rollover crash where they arrested Wesley McCutcheon, 32, of Jemez Springs. McCutcheon was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated and reckless driving while driving on state road 4 near American Springs.
11:30 p.m. – Michael Hemphill, 18, of Los Alamos, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at Pinion Elementary School in White Rock.
9:22 p.m. – Alan Thorton, 40, of Portland, was arrested on a charge of speeding and driving with a suspended license. The arrested occurred at 128 State Highway 4 in Los Alamos.
10:59 p.m. – Gabriel Agiulera, 31 of Maricopa, was arrested during a traffic stop on an outstanding $175 traffic warrant out of Hidalgo County.
7:14 a.m. Parker Construction, of Los Alamos, reported to police that someone smashed out the windows in nearly all of their trucks, causing $800 in damages.
9:30 a.m. — Joshua Krepps, 20, of Rio Bravo Drive, Los Alamos was arrested on a warrant.
7:23 p.m. — Mark Henins, 45, of Sandia Street, Los Alamos, was arrested on a magistrate court bench warrant. Police stopped Henins because they knew he had an outstanding cash warrant from the Los Alamos Magistrate Court.
8:21 p.m. – Chliu Shockey, 38 of Los Alamos was arrested on a magistrate bench warrant.
