May 3

2:31 p.m. –– A 64-year-old Los Alamos man told police that he was the victim of a larceny (over $500, under $2,500) in the 100 block of La Vista Drive.

3:15 p.m. –– A 13-year-old Los Alamos boy was the victim of an interaction with another 13-year-old boy where he received stolen property from him as well as marijuana (less than one ounce) and he was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia on Central Avenue.

5 p.m. –– Police arrested a 13-year-old Santa Fe teen on charges of receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana (less than one ounce) and possession of drug paraphernalia at the intersection of Central Avenue and Oppenheimer Drive. He was released to his parents and referred to juvenile authorities.

4:05 p.m. –– The management at Smith’s Food and Drug Center, 535 Central Avenue, reported to police that between $100 and $250 in cash was stolen from the store.

May 4

3:15 p.m. –– Carl Padilla, 46, of Espanola was arrested while driving with a suspended/revoked license. He was stopped by police at the intersection of 9th Street and Central Avenue.

4:12 p.m. –– Juan Grant 25, of Santa Fe was arrested for not having proper registration for his vehicle, driving without car insurance and driving with a suspended/revoked license on E. Jemez Road.

7:03 p.m. –– Britney Gutierrez, 29, of Los Alamos was arrested on a charge of assault against a household member and aggravated battery against a household member in the 3200 block of Canyon Road.

8:07 p.m. –– Lorenzo Gutierrez, 52, of Petaca was arrested on a charge of battery against a household member in the 3700 block of Gold Street.

10:57 p.m. –– Joshua Montoya, 25, of Los Alamos was arrested on a charge of driving with faulty tail lights and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration of .16 or more at the intersection of Piedra Loop and State Highway 4.

May 5

8:20 p.m. Jeffrey Aslin, 44, of Los Alamos was arrested on a charge careless driving, resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, driving with an open container in the vehicle, driving with a suspended/revoked license and aggravated driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs at 1900 Diamond Drive.

May 6

4:30 p.m. –– Police arrested a 17-year-old Los Alamos teen on a charge of battery against a household member in the 3500 block of Gold Street. He was released to a relative and referred to juvenile authorities.

May 7

4:13 p.m. –– Aaron Nguyen, 18, of Los Alamos was arrested on a charge of burglary, aggravated burglary, larceny of a firearm and possession of burglary tools.

11:50 p.m. –– James Carpenter, 26, of Los Alamos was arrested on a local magistrate court bench warrant.

May 8

10:04 p.m. –– A 38-year-old Los Alamos man reported to police criminal damage to his property in the 4400 block of Alabama Avenue.
