April 6


11:25 a.m. – William Lopez, 40, of Los Alamos was charged on Myrtle Street with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with an expired registration and issued a citation to appear in court after police received a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

4:23 p.m. – Melissa Carpenter, 34, of Los Alamos was stopped on Trinity Drive and her vehicle towed for having an expired registration and subsequently issued citations for expired registration, no insurance and was summoned to court for driving with an open container of alcohol.  

11:05 p.m. – A 17-year-old Los Alamos girl was charged with Minor In Possession (MIP) and issued a citation on 11th Street, referred to the juvenile probation officer and released to a parent after police responded to a disturbance and found her in possession of a bottle of Jack Daniels liquor.  
April 8

9:23 a.m. – Los Alamos National Laboratory reported the theft of large batteries from Technical Area 50, Building 1 on Puye Road. The estimated loss is $3,362.
April 9

7:26 a.m. – Robert Trujillo, 31, was arrested in Socorro on a bench warrant from Los Alamos County Magistrate Court.  
April 10

1:30 a.m. – A 14-year-old Los Alamos girl, a 15-year-old Los Alamos girl and a 16-year-old Espanola boy were charged with MIPs after police responded to the Ashley Hotel on Trinity Drive regarding a noise disturbance and discovered the juveniles in possession of alcoholic beverages. All three juveniles were cited and referred to the juvenile probation officer and released to their parents.
April 11

9:51 a.m. – Kevin Herring, 33, of Los Alamos was arrested at 4039 Sycamore St., on an outstanding Magistrate Court Bench Warrant for violating conditions of his parole.

3:42 p.m. – LANL reported the theft of a trailer and welding equipment from TA-50 Building 1 at 50 Aries. The estimated loss is $8,984.

6:30 p.m. – Philip Roybal, 41, of Santa Fe was arrested in Santa Fe County on an outstanding Los Alamos Municipal Court Warrant stemming from a DWI arrest.

8:48 p.m. – Alexander Rose, 24, of Los Alamos was charged with possession of marijuana of more than an ounce, driving without headlights, no insurance and no registration after being stopped on Diamond Drive for driving without headlights. He was issued a citation to appear in court and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
April 12

2:25 p.m. – A 34-year-old Los Alamos woman reported a burglary of an estimated $3,000 from her residence in the 3000 block of Villa Street but later notified police that she had located the money and no longer wanted to pursue the case.

7:40 a.m. – Smiths on Central Avenue reported someone shoplifted several items. The suspects were not located at that time. The estimated loss is $117.03.
11:07 p.m. – Sergio Escargega-Quezada, 26, of Los Alamos was arrested near 39th Street and Gold Street and charged with DWI and cited for speeding and driving without a license after being stopped for speeding.
April 13

3:17 a.m. – Melissa Carpenter, 34, was charged at Canyon Road and Diamond Drive with illegible registration, having the wrong registration and driving without insurance. She was issued a citation and her vehicle was towed from the scene.

11:15 a.m. – Jonathan Etuk, 30, of Medanales, was arrested at 3590 Gold St., in Los Alamos on a felony arrest warrant out of Bernalillo County.

2:43 p.m. – LANL reported the theft of copper tubing from TA-50 Building 1 at 509 Alvarez Road. The estimated loss is $50.
