Emily Pittman was the top predictor at this week’s Atomic City Roadrunners’ Pace Race with a near perfect prediction.
The Pace Race, a weekly event hosted by the Atomic City Roadrunners, was Tuesday.
The 1- and 3-mile races started at Brewer Arena rodeo grounds on North Mesa.
Pittman finished the race with a 1-second prediction error. Pittman needed a good prediction to top Bob Weeks, who was just 3 seconds off his finish time.
Christie Kelly, who was just 9 seconds off her predicted time, was the fastest runner on the 1-mile course (10:27), followed by Weeks (13:29).
The fastest runner on the 3-mile course was again Ted Romero (20:28). Nikol Strother was the fastest female runner (21:28).
The next Pace Race will be Tuesday starting at the Los Alamos County Ice Rink. Race time is 6 p.m.
