They both came from Los Alamos, got along well and owned the same unusual breed of dog. When the property near East Park opened up, in their own words, it seemed “like the stars aligned.”Drs. Kristine Weaver and Stephanie Williams lived in Los Alamos at different times – Weaver in 1974-79, when she attended the local middle school, and Williams through her graduation from Los Alamos High School in 1997. They met working for the same veterinary clinic in Clovis a few years ago.Today, they own their own veterinary clinic: Ridgeview Veterinary Hospital, located at 194 East Road, convenient to the dog park and the animal training center. For both of them, moving back to the Hill meant a move closer to family as well.“It’s funny how when you’re growing up, you can’t wait to get out,” Williams said. “After you leave, you find out what a gem Los Alamos is.”Weaver agreed. “You appreciate it more when you’ve been gone,” she said.Weaver has been practicing since conferring her degree in veterinary medicine from Oregon State in 1995.
