Megan Goldstein of Los Alamos participated in Gonzaga University’s graduation exercises during a Commencement Ceremony held May 8 in Spokane’s Veterans’ Memorial Arena. Goldstein graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in science and mathematics.

Lyla Rosalva Parish graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Colorado College. She is the daughter of Liliz and Michael Parish of Los Alamos.

Ian Dempsey, a Los Alamos resident and a senior at Southern Utah University, was named to the dean’s list for the 2011 spring semester.

Julie Baas of Los Alamos was named to the spring quarter dean’s list at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind. Baas, a mechanical engineering major, is the daughter of Bradley and Angela Baas.

Santa Fe Vineyards won five silver medals at the 2011 New Mexico State Fair wine competition. They also took a (Chairmans Award unanimous gold) the highest award for a wine at  the 2011 Riverside International Wine Competition.
