Jacob Holesinger, a student at Los Alamos High School, has been selected to represent New Mexico as a National Youth Delegate to the 2014 Washington Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University.
Holesinger joins a select group of 250 students from across the country to participate in an intensive study week-long of leadership in environmental science and conservation.
 Holesinger was chosen based on academic accomplishments and a demonstrated interest and excellence in leadership in the sciences and conservation studies.
The Washington Youth Summit on the Environment will be June 22-27.

Nolan K. Bell, of Los Alamos, was named to Fort Lewis College’s Dean’s List for the Fall 2013 semester. Bell’s major is Sociology/Human Services — Criminology Option.

James Coburn, of Los Alamos, has been named to the Academic Honor Roll for Bloc two and three of the current school year at Colorado Timberland Academy boarding school. Coburn is the son of Steven Coburn of Los Alamos.

Jenny Tumas, of Los Alamos, whose major is Political Science, has been named to the Dean’s List at Clemson University for the fall 2013 semester.

Petr Przybyski, of Los Alamos, has been named to the Academic Honor Roll for Bloc two of the current school year at Colorado Timberland Academy boarding school. Przybyski is the son of Anne Przybyski of Los Alamos.

Christopher Ventura, Los Alamos High School class of 2010 has once again been appointed to the Dean’s List at the University of Connecticut (Storrs).
Ventura will be graduating this May with a bachelor’s degree in history and will be attending law school. He has been accepted at the Texas A&M University School of Law, decisions from other law schools are pending.

Isabelle M. Coons, a 2013 graduate of Los Alamos High School and a freshman at University of New Mexico, has been placed on the Dean’s List for the Fall 2013 semester based on excellent academic performance.
She is the daughter of Jim and Elizabeth Coons.

Los Alamos residents, Kiley M. Bachlet and Suzanne M. Birdsell, have been named to first honors on the Clark University Dean’s List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2013 semester.

Sigma Alpha Lambda announces Brandon Charles Williams, of Los Alamos, has recently become a recognized member of Sigma Alpha Lambda, National Leadership and Honors Organization at New Mexico State University.
