Wednesday’s game also marked the first win of the year for Matt Magill (1-1). Magill was roughed up in his last outing against the Reno Aces, but threw six innings against El Paso, giving up just one earned run and fanning 8 batters.
The series with El Paso continues until Friday. Following this series, Albuquerque will go on the road for eight games starting with a four-game series at Salt Lake City.
