Patrick Thomas Cantelme

CANTELME – Patrick Thomas Cantelme died Jan. 8. 2008, in Los Alamos, N.M. He was born Sept. 12, 1921, in Hoboken, N.J.

He was a retired bellman from Bally’s Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.Patrick was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nicolina; his daughter Renee Olivero of Oviedo, Fla.; his sister Helen Cantelme of Secaucus, N.J.; and his brother Salvatore of Phoenix, Ariz.He is survived by two daughters, Denise Derkacs of Los Alamos and Patrice Reinschmidt of Las Vegas, Nev; three siblings: James Cantelme of Carmichael, Calif; Gene Cantelme of Toms River, N.J.; and Marie Scalzo of Secaucus, N.J.; three sons-in-law: John Olivero of Oviedo, Fla.; Dennis Derkacs of Los Alamos; and Ronald Reinschmidt of Las Vegas, Nev.; and six grandchildren, Tara Olivero Decker, Christopher Olivero, David Derkacs, Daniel Derkacs, Derek Derkacs and Chase Reinschmidt.Patrick lived in Los Alamos with his daughter and son-in-law for the last 16 months. He was a frequent visitor to the White Rock Senior Center, a participant in the YMCA Silver Sneakers program and a member of the Knights of Columbus.A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos. A rosary will be recited before the Mass at 10.a.m.
