Odessa Faye Kidd

Odessa Faye Kidd passed away on Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at the Runningwater Draw Care Facility in Olton, Texas, surrounded by loved ones. Services for Ms. Kidd were held Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at the Main Street Church of Christ in Olton, Texas. The burial followed immediately at the Olton Cemetery in Olton, Texas. She was born on Sept. 3, 1919, in Coalgate, Okla., to Alonzo Casper and Olga Odessa Welch. Odessa married George Kidd on Oct. 29, 1938, in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a retired homemaker and a member of the Main Street Church of Christ. Preceding her in death were her loving husband George Kidd, a son George Don Kidd, and a step-grandson Leonard Kidd.Survivors included a son, Ronnie Gene and wife Kathryn Jane of Odessa; a daughter, Kathie Elaine and husband Jimmy Lane Womack of Los Alamos, N.M; two sisters, Audy Shaffer of Jefferson City, Mo., and Maxine Welch of Aztec, N.M.; seven grandchildren: Stacey and her husband Pete Brown; Tracy and wife Shandra Kidd; Ronnie Kidd Jr.; Tammy (Kidd) Gray; Trent and wife Dena Womack; Todd and wife Tennille Womack; Krystal and husband Jeff Roach; and 13 great-grandchildren: Jordan, Colton and Kourtney Kidd; Anna and Austin Gray; Jacob Brown; Landry and Hannah Kidd; Erin, Michael and Tyler Womack; and Lindsay and Tristen Roach.
