ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico's Unemployment Insurance Call Center will be closed the next two Fridays — Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
The state Department of Workforce Solutions says unemployment insurance claimants should plan for that.
The agency also notes the federal holidays of Christmas and New Year's on the next two Saturdays will mean banks and post offices will be closed. That could delay funds for unemployment insurance debit card holders and participants who have direct deposit or receive checks by mail.
The unemployment claims system website, www.dws.state.nm.us, will be available 3 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and the unemployment insurance toll free phone line, 1-877-664-6984, will be available 24 hours a day for self-service matters.
