ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico's candidates for governor are facing off in their final debate of the campaign.

Republican Susana Martinez and Democrat Diane Denish meet for an hour-long, televised debate Thursday night in Albuquerque. The debate airs at 7 p.m. on KOB-TV.

With less than two weeks remaining before Election Day, the debate offers an opportunity for the candidates to deliver their message to a large broadcast audience and make a last-ditch appeal to undecided and wavering voters.

Recent polls have shown Martinez leading the race.

The candidates have met in three debates so far, including one that was televised on Sunday.

Martinez has served as Dona Ana County district attorney since 1997, and Denish has been lieutenant governor since 2003.
