Unexpected delays will postpone pumping concrete for the pedestrian bridge on the Canyon Rim Trail south of the Los Alamos Airport.
The work originally scheduled for Saturday will now take place on Tuesday. The operation will require traffic control on N.M. 502, also known as East Road.
Pumping from the highway will require closing one lane of traffic. The traffic plan calls for vehicles to be directed to a temporary road surface on the north shoulder of the highway. Flaggers will direct the flow of vehicles one lane at a time. The traffic impacts should last about four hours beginning at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
