Eight Republicans have filed for positions on the Los Alamos County Council. They will battle each other in the June 1 primary election for just four vacancies. The top vote getters will move on to the November general election.
Three Democrats also filed for council and will all have a place on the November ballot along with eight others, running for everything from judgeships to sheriff.
The candidates had to file between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the County Clerk’s Office. READ MORE in Wednesday's Monitor.
