A Continental Express airliner bound from Houston to Albuquerque made an emergency landing at the Los Alamos County Airport at about 5 p.m. Tuesday evening. The plane was unable to land in Albuquerque and was redirected to Santa Fe. Then because of reported 70 mile-per-hour winds at the Santa Fe Airport and running short of fuel, the plane made a safe landing at Los Alamos. The fire department assisted the passengers from the plane. A bus arrived and whisked the passengers off to Santa Fe and Albuquerque by about 6:30 p.m. READ MORE IN WEDNESDAY'S MONITOR.
