The New Mexico Department of Health is partnering with the New Mexico Cancer Council and American Cancer Society to hold the annual New Mexico Cancer Conference and provider meeting on Nov. 9 and 10 at the Sheraton Uptown, 2600 Louisiana Blvd, NE in Albuquerque.
The statewide conference brings together providers and other key stakeholders working on cancer control issues in New Mexico.
More than 200 participants will attend, including clinicians, public health personnel, educators, trainers, support groups and survivors.
The two-day conference involves education and training sessions that share general cancer information with attendees and provide professional development to providers of the Department of Health’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.
The New Mexico Cancer Council, a statewide collaboration of cancer control organizations and individuals working to reduce the burden of cancer in the state, will host its annual meeting and workshops in conjunction with this conference.
The conference is free. The registration deadline is Saturday.
