The elections have wrapped up and the swearing-in ceremony is complete, so now it’s time to get down to business.
Incoming Los Alamos County Councilors, Fran Berting, Jim Hall, Geoff Rodgers and Ron Selvage, provided their top priorities for office:
FRAN BERTING: “I want to improve communication between the councilors and the citizens.”
She added with county projects, she would like to engage citizens early in the process so they can be involved when it is most useful.
JIM HALL: “It seems to me the highest priority right now is to get a new chief administrator to work on economic development in Los Alamos; and as part of economic development (we need to address) the Trinity Development and development in White Rock.”
GEOFF RODGERS: “First and foremost, we need to establish credibility with the citizens and gain their confidence.”
RON SELVAGE: “The top priority is to find a new county administrator who can move Los Alamos forward.”
A second priority, he said, was to work on economic development in Los Alamos.
